Mage Hunter Assassin

Just another model I painted some time ago. Painted her up in an evening. She was painted about a year ago and I can definitely see how my skills have changed and improved over that time.

What do you do when you cant paint?

Painting and wargaming is a time consuming hobby, but what happens when life starts to get in the way? It's been a good month since I have been able to seriously put brush to figure, but that doesn't mean I am uninvolved in my hobby. How can this be?

I think about it. If I can't paint, I start to get lost in all the projects I have bouncing around in my head and figure out what I'll do when I can paint. Case in point, the other night when I was going to bed inspiration hit me. After a long day of work and school, my mind was racing about painting the minute my head hit the pillow. In this moment, I knew the figure I want to paint for the P3 painting contest at Gen Con this year and have figured out the base and how I want the composition to look. Needless to say, I didn't get that much sleep that night.

Now the semester is winding down, papers are getting closer to completion and graduation is right around the corner. The painting urge is growing in me and I just laid a coat of primer on Jonas and a full unit of Ogrun Assault Corps.

The most important thing is to keep your spirits up, think about what you want to do and when you have some free time, do it! I suffer from painting ADD just like everyone else, but sometimes it helps to set a goal and do your best to meet it. Before I paint the OAC and Jonas, I have to finish an older project for someone else, but then it's on to some Ogrun!

Happy painting!
